***Weekend Plans*** Today Scott is painting again in the living room, maybe just maybe we will be able to get it done this weekend. I am supposed to be finishing my research paper, but yet here I am messing with my blog. So before the dictator of the house sees me playing around on here, I best get back to my paper. ;-) Ciao for now! #

***I think we're alone now*** Ok I think that it is only me, myself and I that read this journal. Oh ya and Coco, once in a while Natasha. Oh well I like to talk to myself. :-) #

***Bitter*** I guess I should add a little side note to the post below. I do not have anything against teachers. I do *heart* teachers. My father in law is a wonderful teacher, and I do have some terriffic teachers at my school. I just also know a few who can be so degrading to the office staff. #

***Happy Friday*** Um Ok, I guess. I have some thoughts to share. This is for all the people who are "clerical" employees at a school. Next time someone says that your job or any clerical job in the office is not as important as say a TEACHER, share this with them:
If there was no clerical staff, Teachers would have nothing to do. There would be no one to set up the Xerox or Savin/Gestetner and order supplies and paper for them. There would be no one to order any other supplies, pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks, binder reminders, etc. There would be no children to teach because no one would be here to enroll them in classes. Of course there would be no one to answer and take messages for all of their calls. No one to cover the classes/period coverage when they have to leave for an “emergency” or when a substitute is not available. No one to get substitutes for them when they are going to be absent. And my personal favorite, they would not get PAID, there would be no one to do their payroll.

Ok now that I have that all off my chest. It is a bright and beautiful Friday here in sunny southern California!

***la la land*** Ok so life has been so nice for the last three days. Hanging out at home-medicated, watching Pretty Woman for the three thousandeth time, veggin' out in front of the TV, being still like a vegetable, laying like broccoli, while watching General Hospital....Oh wait something just slapped me. Yep just as I suspected - it was reality! Welcome back it said...to your real life-WORK! I am back to work today and all fun has ceased. I miss la la land, I want to go back. Real land is no fun, work sucks. Being gone three days has set me back like three weeks. I feel like a stranger at my own desk. Here's a good one that I have to share. Someone actually asked me the other day. What exactly do you do as an Office Manager? Any takers on answering that question? Natasha???? I know you are lurking out there somewhere. Wanna take a stab at it? #

***Strep Throat*** I am so sick. Sunday night my throat started bothering me and I thought it was my sinuses. I woke up early Monday morning to my throat killing me, I got get a drink of water and I can't even swallow it. Nice. When I wake up again, I feel like my throat is swollen shut, can't even get jello through. That was fun, let me tell you. So I go to the doctor and wait to be seen for what seems like forever because I don't have an appointment. He tells me that #1 I have a temperature of 101.4, #2 I have STREP THROAT, #3 I cannot return to work until Thursday. Well I really didn't want to argue with him about #3 now did I?! So he gave me a nice shot of antibiotics and some antibiotics to take at home. Today I am feeling slightly better but not back to normal. #
